About The Artist

After studying for her degree at the prestigious Bournemouth College of Art, Elizabeth Andrews was able to pursue her illustrative talents with one of the largest advertising agencies in the South West of England. Following a move to Cambridgeshire in the late eighties with her growing family, and a series of exhibitions throughout the eastern region, she was asked to provide the illustrations for the “Winny Green” series of children’s poems by Marc Drury. This interest in the folklore of the countryside led to 3 years research, culminating in her first fully illustrated book “Faeries and Folklore of the British Isles”, published in 2006.
The illustrations from this book now feature in a large range of cards and prints depicting the faerie realm; a world of magic, myth and legend.
Elizabeth Andrews is now back in her beloved South West with her husband, their four children, dogs, cats and other assorted menagerie.
